With the National Theme: Public Art, Art for All, the Bureau on Cultural Heritage-ARMM celebrated the National Arts Month with the Regional Theme: Uniting through Public Art, Promoting Bangsamoro Culture and Identity. Several activities such as Cultural Mural Painting, Lakbay Kultura, and Kulintang Training and Workshop for Children were conducted through-out the month of February in the Provinces of Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi. The celebration was culminated at Tenorio Elementary School during the Recital Performance of thirty-eight (38) children who finished the week-long Kulintang Training and Workshop

“We are grateful to the Bureau on Cultural Heritage-ARMM for the opportunity they are giving to us to learn how to play kulintang. With this training, we realize that as younger generation we are the one who will continue to preserve our culture,” says DatuNur-Hassan E. Kutia, one of the kulintang students.

The National Arts Month Celebration activities of the Bureau aims to showcase the Bangsamoro Culture and Identity through public art of Mural Painting and to preserve it through educating the children of our cultural heritage. With the support of local partners and AnakMindanao through the initiative of BCH Executive Director Ardan D. Sali, the celebration of several said activities were facilitated by Cultural Affairs Officers of five Provinces of ARMM, Mr. Musalik P. Kabunto, Ms. Sheryan P. Guialel, Ms. Nor-ain I. Lambitan, Mr. Noroddin Maguindanao, Mr. Zekhal B. Juaini, Ms. Jesa May Amoto, and Mr. Raja Lakanduli Aming.
